Eylene Pirez
Born and raised in Cuba, Eylene grew up under harsh political and economic restrictions that drove to migrate to the United States in 2001 to pursue a career in science. She obtained her B.S. in Astrophysics and graduate degree in Accelerator Physics at UCLA. Eylene has also worked operating the cameras on-board NASA’s Cassini Spacecraft among many ground-breaking scientific experiments.
Along with her prolific science career, Eylene developed a passion for exploration and creating educational content for brands like Arc’teryx. Eylene’s interest in nature and world travel has driven her to climb some of the world’s tallest peaks, backpack through regions like the Tibetan plateau, or have cultural submerging experiences such as travel the Sahara desert with a Berber tribe. She is the go-to for filming and photographing the most extreme and remote destinations.
Eylene currently works full-time as a creative working to bridge the gap between science, media, and exploration.
